You know how to critique the creatives team in a motivating and positive way. You have some knowledge of interior design and can provide broad feedback to ensure interior and branding work together seamlessly.
You are a highly conceptual thinker who develops a diverse range of compelling creative ideas, who has the ability to think strategically as well as aesthetically. You know where the design world is headed and can talk confidently about trends and forecasts.
You can communicate effectively verbally as well as visually, presenting design rationale is easy for you to the clients as well as internally. You are the studio leadership to provide insights and feedback on project status and every projects in the studio.
You inspire people. Mentor and impart knowledge to other designers.
So what’s the role?
This is a role for a creative mind and a business-mind; you are in your element when you are creating ideas and you know how to communicate them effectively. You know successful branding comes with strategic thinking and budget control.
Specifically, we are looking for a Branding Creative Lead on a contract-basis.
The Lead Designer is a key team member who takes ownership over creative projects. Working closely with the Co-founders and Senior Designer you are mentoring and art directing the graphic design team as well as over-seeing all projects.
You will be responsible for creating and executing original and compelling branding concepts. Oversee collaborator and print production. You will meet clients, conduct client meetings and participate in brand strategy workshops. Your time will be divided into 50% Art directing, overseeing all projects in the studio, and 50% design projects of your own.
You make sure that the design process is followed and you evolve studio procedures for best practice.
You work very closely with the Co-founders to make sure they are aware of what’s happening in the design department and you communicate and give feed-back constantly to the design team. You are the bridge between the Co-founders and the designers.
You have experience working as a senior designer in a studio, preferably with substantial experience in hospitality projects and/or commercial interiors.
You have extensive experience reviewing production files and are able to communicate with printers regarding papers, printing method and colours.
You have a bachelor degree or equivalent in design. You have advanced technical and software skills related to the discipline. A minimum of 6 years of related experience. With 2 year of mentorship experience.
