Aussielent

Aussielent approached Brandworks with a request to evolve their already successful brand. The brief was to grow their brand reach and recognition by appealing to a broader section of their niche market.

— The Client

Aussielent produces all-in-one nutritionally complete super-meals in the form of powders and pre-mixed drinks. They sell primarily direct to their consumer on a subscription basis via their online store. The brand is founded on principles of nutritional health, sustainability and affordability, values shared by their consumer.

— The Brief

Aussielent approached Brandworks with a request to evolve their already successful brand. The brief was to grow their brand reach and recognition by appealing to a broader section of their niche market. The request was for a branding look and system that was more open and gender neutral to be rolled out to online, product packaging, social media and promotional materials such as edm’s and shipping collateral.

— Our Approach

Our starting point was in evolving the core visual elements from the existing brand to ensure continuity and preserve brand value.  The former Aussielent heart/flower monogram was stripped back and strengthened as was all the typography.

An impactful tagline, 'Made to Measure Meals' was developed to clearly communicate the brand's offering. A simple, colour based secondary system was developed to demonstrate the idea of multiple inputs coming together in a harmonious, efficient, and beautiful system, resulting in a calm, calculated, modern brand that balances symmetry and order with the warmth of human touch.

The primary challenge encountered on this project was around the effective communication of complex information within limited spaces across all packaging.
We were required to meet legal obligations around legibility in the communication of lengthy ingredients lists, health and allergen warnings while maintaining a spacious looking design. This is especially tricky online where long lists require endless scrolling. We devised an infographic system for the website to streamline this process.

This project also required us to interpret and implement the new, detailed country of origin food labeling guidelines.
