Time to discover a little magic.

February 3rd, 2020.

We are very pleased to announce the launch of Melbourne-based lifestyle label, MAHŌ - revisiting the ancient art of burning with its Sensory Sticks that release delicate timeless fragrance when burned. MAHŌ Sensory Sticks reinvents the classic incense, combining natural, aromatic resin with a refined blend of premium perfumes – creating a collection of contemporary home fragrances to suit the modern lifestyle. Influenced by Japanese minimalism, the fragrances are offered in beautiful tactile packaging with soft dream-like hues to convey premium and balanced with a confident design imprint. In collaboration with Melbourne design agency, BrandWorks; the name, brand’s position, identity design and packaging was developed with quality in mind. As an online brand, the visuals, photography and product-in-hand needed to instantly convey premiumness effortlessly and leave a memorable mark in one’s mind.

The brand mark utilises the typeface, Rasmus, inspired by classic serifs such as Times or Sabon, but features contemporary details. Balig, a signature pen script, was chosen to compliment this direction. Inspired by the personal memories of travel and places of discovery by the label’s founder, Joshua Tong, four signature fragrances have found their way into its inaugural 2020 capsule collection. Comprising White Musk, Rose Bois, Gypsy Wood and Artisan Leather, the scents will resonate perfectly with lifestyle seekers of Le Labo New York, Aesop or Diptyque Paris. Completing the collection are a selection of minimalist décor stands designed to beautifully display Sensory sticks. MAHŌ burners add a sophisticated accent to any space. Begin your new ritual each day, embody the experience with your morning meditation and fade into a dreamy journey across the seas.

Explore timeless, for your spaces between.

We’d like to thank Joshua for working with Eleena, Michael and the branding team - Jane, Fransiska & Brian for MAHŌ.
